The River Walk in downtown San Antonio is home to a new pizza restaurant and wine bar.
Fiume is now open near the Arneson River Theater, and it specializes in “Texapoletana” offerings — a mix of Texas and Neapolitan-style pizzas.
For example, one of the pizzas is the Texas Heat Pizza and it includes Texas smoked bacon and Italian sweet peppers.
Fiume also sells wine, salads, antipasta, paninis and dessert, like homemade gelato. A news release states that ingredients and wines are locally sourced.
“Menu items feature a variety of Texas-sourced products from farms, wineries and breweries around the state spotlighting the vast diversity of the state’s offerings,” the release states.
Pizza starts at $17 per pie, and appetizers start at $15. The restaurant does have vegan options.
Fiume is open daily from 5-10 p.m. at 200 S. Alamo St. on the river level.
Fiume will also participate in Culinaria Restaurant Week, which starts on Aug. 13 and ends on Aug. 27. The menu has yet to be announced.
