The closure is part of ongoing construction for the IH-635 East Project
DALLAS, Texas — The direct connector ramp to Interstate 635 eastbound from US-75 will be closed off to drivers Thursday and Friday nights.
The IH-635 eastbound frontage road can still be accessed from Central Expressway by exiting Greenville Avenue (Exit 18A) and following signage to the eastbound IH-635 entrance ramp at Forest Lane.
The closure is part of ongoing construction for the IH-635 East Project.
The $1.74 billion construction initiative, led by the Texas Department of Transportation, is aimed at enhancing mobility, operations, and safety along Interstate IH-635 in Dallas County. The project covers an 11-mile stretch from North Dallas to Mesquite, starting just east of US-75 and ending at Interstate 30.
The Texas Transportation Commission has identified the IH-635 East Project as part of the statewide *Texas Clear Lanes program, which targets the most congested areas in the state.
Construction broke ground in the spring of 2020 and is expected to continue until 2025. TxDOT encourages residents and businesses owners to stay connected and be informed about project updates.
