The Cowboys were one win from making the NIT final four this week.
However, for the second time in three seasons, North Texas beat OSU in Stillwater.
The Cowboys shot the ball really well in wins over Wichita state and at SMU last Sunday, but they had a hard time getting anything going from three.
They turned the ball over too much. OSU had 19 turnovers on Tuesday night in front of a pretty good crowd.
The team managed to cut a 9-point deficit to two in the final minute 11 seconds, and actually got a look at a game winner. Brandon Newman’s three off the inbounds pass wouldn’t go.
OSU finishes with a record of 17-18 after a two-point loss.
