AUSTIN (KXAN) — No. 6 Texas scored more than 100 points for the second consecutive game in a rout of South Dakota State 103-57 Sunday at Moody Center.
It’s the third time the Longhorns have eclipsed the century mark. They opened the season Nov. 10 with a 119-47 win over Southeast Missouri State and a 111-49 victory Tuesday over La Salle.
Justice Carlton scored 19 points off the bench to lead the Longhorns. She made 8 of 12 field goal attempts and finished a rebound short of a double-double with nine boards. Taylor Jones hit the mark for a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Jordan Lee sunk a pair of 3-pointers and scored 14 while Rori Harmon chipped in 13 points with seven assists. Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda scored 10 points to help Texas outscore the Jackrabbits 46-28 in bench points and 60-30 in the paint.

The Longhorns scored 31 points off 21 turnovers and shot 17-for-19 from the foul line. Texas won the rebounding battle 45-26 including 18-8 on the offensive end, scoring 24 second-chance points.
Texas (12-1) has one more nonconference tuneup at 3 p.m., Dec. 29, against UTRGV at Moody Center.
