North Texas addiction recovery organization announces $3M plan for new facility

The Dallas 24 Hour Club is launching a $3M campaign to build Trevor’s Place, a center for homeless individuals recovering from addiction.

DALLAS — An organization that helps those recovering from addiction around the clock is launching a $3 million campaign to serve the homeless.

The Dallas 24 Hour Club announced a new fund to build “Trevor’s Place,” a new center to help unhoused individuals overcome addiction.

The 24 said Trevor’s Place will expand its wrap-around services. Wrap-around services are typically defined as programs that help address a person’s co-occurring problems like legal services, medical care or housing assistance.

Trevor’s Place will have a flexible community area, library, technology lab, gym/exercise room and meditation garden, The 24 stated. The new space will also give the organization room for administrative offices and allow them to expand the services currently being offered at their main facility.

“Trevor’s Place is a labor of love for so many in our community and it solidifies the need for our mission as we see all these supporters come together,” said Tim Grigsby, CEO of The 24. “The project is a testament to the power of collaboration and compassion in creating meaningful change in our community through The 24’s mission.”

Trevor’s Place will be located next to the organization’s Tillman House on N. Peak Street. According to the organization, construction on the project will begin in the coming weeks.

The new campaign has been a community effort, receiving support from HKS Architects, Gordon Highlander and The Mabee Foundation.
