SANSOM PARK, Texas — The Sansom Park Police Department is asking for help finding a 2-year-old girl who they saw was forcibly kidnapped by her grandmother on Thursday evening.
Police were called at about 5 p.m. to a non-custodial kidnapping off Arrow Lane. The girl, Ava Green, is of mixed complexion and was last seen wearing turquoise shorts and a floral shirt.
The suspect is Lawanda Cain, who police say was last seen driving a black BMW X1 with the Texas license plate No. TYK-8553. Police say she may also be in the company of four other women.
They are possibly headed to an address on Galleria Drive in Dallas, police added.
Anyone who sees the vehicle or the missing child is asked to call 911.
