Oklahoma firefighter arrested in North Texas for online solicitation of a minor, police say

 

According to authorities, the suspect is being held at the Collin County Detention Facility.

COLLIN COUNTY, Texas — The Collin County Sheriff’s Office said it arrested 40-year-old David Villines on Friday, Oct. 25 for online solicitation of a minor. 

According to the sheriff’s office, Villines, who is a firefighter and paramedic in Oklahoma, was charged after he attempted to meet with a person who he believed was a 15-year-old girl. However, the person was an undercover investigator posing as a minor. 

The sheriff’s office said Villines made statements that indicated his intent to meet with the minor and engage in sexual activity in an online chat. 

He reportedly traveled to meet at an agreed-upon location, where he was later arrested, according to the sheriff’s office. 

The Collin County Sheriff’s Office said Villines is being held in the Collin County Detention Facility on a $100,000 bond.
