As Governor Abbott’s campaign manager, I’m reminded daily of the generosity, resilience, and love that Texans have for this state. On Giving Tuesday, the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, that spirit shines in a special way.
When we launched Governor Abbott’s re-election campaign, we set an important goal for our first month — not because we have to hit a number, but to show that Texans are energized, united, and ready to defend our future.
Now, with just 6 days left, every bit of progress matters. That’s why today’s
I want you to know how truly grateful we are for you. Your generosity keeps our team going, and your belief in Texas is what gives this campaign its strength.
Whether you call Texas home or are cheering us on from somewhere else, I’m grateful to have you here.
If you didn’t know how I wound up in a wheelchair, a tree fell on me while I was out jogging in my 20s and left me paralyzed from the waist down. Supported by my family and faith, I pulled through that difficult time and learned an invaluable lesson: Life is defined not by the challenges we face, but by how we respond to those challenges.
Before I was Governor, I served our state as Attorney General and a Supreme Court Justice. In these roles, I’ve seen firsthand that the same grit and perseverance that guided my life’s journey rings true for our state and its people, too.
As your Governor, my mission is to defend the values that make Texas the greatest state in the nation. And this year, we delivered some of the biggest conservative victories in our state’s history:
We passed the largest school choice program in the nation, empowering Texas parents to decide how and where their kids are educated
We delivered a record $50 billion in property tax relief to ease the burden on hardworking families
We passed laws to secure our border, crack down on illegal immigration, and defend Texas sovereignty from federal overreach
We strengthened election integrity, and stood firm for religious liberty and the Second Amendment
And there’s more to come!
My wife, Cecilia, the first Hispanic First Lady of Texas, our daughter Audrey, and our three Golden Retrievers (Peaches, Pancake, and Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit) are proud to call this great state home.
