One person flown to hospital after tank battery explosion in North Texas, officials say

 

Crews were cleaning the tank battery when it exploded in Palo Pinto County, officials say.

PALO PINTO COUNTY, Texas — One person was flown to a hospital in Plano after a tank battery exploded in North Texas Wednesday, officials say.

A crew was cleaning the tank battery south of Graford in Palo Pinto County when something sparked the explosion, according to Palo Pinto County Fire Marshal Chad Jordan. Graford is about 93 miles northwest of Dallas.

One person suffered burns and blunt force trauma injuries and was flown to a hospital in Plano, Jordan said.

The person’s condition is unclear.
