One shot, injured in carjacking in Dallas, police say

 

The driver was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, police say.

DALLAS — One person was shot and injured in a carjacking in Dallas early Saturday, police say.

Police say armed suspects approached a vehicle in the 8400 block of Willoughby Boulevard shortly before 1 a.m. The driver then pointed a gun at a suspect and tried to leave, but one of the suspects shot the driver in the leg, according to police. 

The suspects then took the vehicle, according to police.

The driver was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, police say.

No other details were immediately available, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
