A woman was hit and killed by multiple cars on U.S. 75 Tuesday night, leaving the highway closed to commuters Wednesday morning.
According to Dallas police, the incident happened at about 11:05 p.m. on Tuesday in the 10200 block of U.S. 75. southbound. First responders found the woman had been hit by multiple vehicles and died at the scene.
All four lanes on the highway were closed during rush hour Wednesday morning as police investigated the incident. Police did not say why the woman was on the highway.
The highway was open as of 10:15 a.m., according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
TxDOT traffic cameras show traffic diverted off the highway at the Royal Lane and Meadow Road exit.
