Overnight lane and ramp closures coming to Dallas North Tollway

The closures are part of a broader effort that began in August 2024 to repave the northbound DNT main lanes from I-35E to I-635.

DALLAS — As part of a major infrastructure upgrade, the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) will implement a series of overnight lane and ramp closures on the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) from March 30 through April 4.

The closures will take place nightly between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. and are for continued pavement improvement work on the northbound lanes.

During these nighttime hours, the following closures will be in effect:

  • Two northbound right lanes from Lemmon Avenue to Beverly Drive
  • Northbound Royal Lane entrance ramp
  • Northbound Royal Lane exit ramp
  • Northbound Harvest Hill exit ramp
  • Northbound Forest Lane exit ramp
  • Two northbound right lanes from Park Lane to Interstate 635 (I-635)

These closures are part of a broader effort that began in August 2024 to repave the northbound DNT main lanes from I-35E to I-635. With a projected completion date in late 2025, the project includes concrete repairs, surface milling, new overlay application, drainage enhancements, and lane restriping.

Work is being done in phases to minimize disruption along the DNT corridor.

Message boards will be placed near the affected areas to alert and guide drivers. The NTTA reminds motorists that all closures are subject to change depending on weather conditions and may be postponed if necessary. Drivers are urged to use caution in construction zones and consider alternate routes whenever possible.
