MESQUITE, Texas — The westbound lanes of I-30 and at least one eastbound lane were closed near Gus Thomasson Road just west of I-635 in Mesquite because of an overturned tractor-trailer, officials say.
Traffic on westbound I-30 was being rerouted to I-635, according to Mesquite police. No injuries were reported in the crash.
“An overturned tractor-trailer, fully loaded, is blocking all westbound lanes,” Mesquite police said in a statement. “Additionally, at least one eastbound lane is shut due to a displaced concrete barrier.”
Mesquite police say the Texas Department of Transportation was notified to help with traffic management.
“A heavy-duty wrecker is on the way, but unloading the trailer may be necessary before clearing the road. It is anticipated that WB 30 will remain closed for a considerable duration,” police said.
