Patient with measles treated at East Texas hospital

   

The patient lives in Upshur County, according to Dr. Lewis Browne with the Gregg County Health Authority in Longview.

LONGVIEW, Texas — A 19-year-old man with measles was treated and released from Christus Good Shepherd in Longview. 

The patient, however, lives in Upshur County, according to Dr. Lewis Browne with the Gregg County Health Authority in Longview.

The patient arrived at the hospital’s emergency room Sunday and was released. He was not hospitalized. Testing by the state of Texas and the hospital confirmed the case, Browne said.
