SAN ANTONIO – The Pearl is adding another restaurant to its collection this month with the grand opening of Ladino.
The Mediterranean grill opens on Monday, September 19.
Executive Chef Berty Richter hopes the restaurant serves as an area where people can “enjoy eating, sharing food, and the excitement of a bountiful and colorful table of delicious food.”

“I grew up in Israel mainly with my mom’s side of the family that came from Turkey, Greece, and Bulgaria. We spoke Ladino, a Spanish dialect mixed with French, Italian, Greek, and Turkish,” Richter said. “Large family gatherings and endless feasts were part of our daily lives, and I’ve always dreamt of one day creating a concept that will pay homage to my family’s roots and culture.”
