On Thursday, a TRE train hit and killed a pedestrian, who police say was walking on the tracks.

A person was hit and killed by a TRE train Thursday evening in Fort Worth.
According to the Fort Worth Police Department, a person, who they believe was walking on the tracks, was hit and killed by a TRE train near the intersection of E. 1st St. and Penland St. around 5 p.m. The person was pronounced dead at the scene, police say.
FWPD told WFAA that they are investigating. Police say they will identify the victim once the next of kin has been notified.
