AUSTIN (KXAN) — Light snow and sleet began falling in Central Texas Monday evening, creating scenes of a winter wonderland in and around Austin.
KXAN viewers and crews have seen ice and snow all across the Austin metro area.
According to our First Warning Weather Team’s snow/sleet accumulation forecast, snow/sleet amounts were expected to be close to an inch along Interstate 35, with lesser amounts in the Hill Country and higher amounts to the east.
Above video shows snow and ice on East McNeil Road in northwest Austin early Tuesday.
