Photos, videos capture snowy scenes at Texas State Parks

  

SAN ANTONIO – Although we’re experiencing a cold and rainy day in South Central Texas, North Texas is seeing lots of snow.

Some Texas Parks and Wildlife Department parks in northern parts of the state shared what the outdoors looks like on Thursday.

Here is a glimpse at some TPWD parks that have captured photos of snow within their grounds:

Ray Roberts Lake State Park Johnson Branch

The state park is open despite expecting several inches of snow, according to the park’s social media page.

Ray Roberts Lake State Park Johnson Branch is located in Valley View, Texas, near Denton.

Palo Duro Canyon State Park

The park announced at 12:40 p.m. on Thursday that the park is closed due to inclement weather.

Palo Duro Canyon State Park will announce any updates as conditions change and when the area will reopen.

The state park is located in Canyon, Texas, near Amarillo.

Copper Breaks State Park

The park, located in Quanah, Texas, remains open to the public. However, the office is closed.
