GUN BARREL CITY, Texas — Gun Barrel City Police arrested an armed man threatening to shoot up a grocery store.
Police responded around 6:33 Saturday to the Walmart on Main Street regarding an armed individual threatening to shoot up the store. An officer located the man inside, and identified him as John Thomas Martin, 22, of Kerrville.
A Glock 10mm semi-auto black handgun, three magazines, one extended magazine, totaling 63 rounds of 10mm and shooting earplugs. Martin was also found to be wearing a ballistic vest under his hoodie.
