JACKSONVILLE, Texas — A shooting in Jacksonville left one person dead.
Officials from the Jacksonville Police Department said a shooting occurred in the 400 block of Gillespie Avenue around 2:52 a.m. Responders found a 29-year-old woman dead from an apparent gunshot wound at the scene. The victim has been identified by law enforcement.

Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Adam Albritton said no arrests have been made in the shooting.
