LUFKIN, Texas — The Lufkin Police Department is responding to call involving a barricaded person.
According to the LPD, a man barricaded himself in a home in the 700 block of Clark Ave. after shooting at officers when they were responding to a disturbance call.
Officials say other residents of the home were removed safely.
“The Lufkin Police SWAT team is on the scene, and additional agencies are assisting including the Angelina County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Department of Public Safety,” the LPD said.
