Police searching for East Texas woman who reportedly abandoned 4-year-old boy near park

MARSHALL, Texas — The Marshall Police Department is searching for a woman who reportedly left her child alone near a local park.

According to the MPD,  Labrittani Grant is wanted on a felony warrant for endangering a child.

Officials say on April 13, around 7:30 p.m., a concerned citizen reported a 4-year-old boy was alone near City Park, located at 200 Pope St. in Marshall. 

“Despite efforts by the Marshall Police Department and Child Protective Services, no parent or guardian was able to be located for a substantial amount of time,” the MPD said. “We reached out for help through Facebook, and thanks to the assistance of the community we were able to locate family members for the child.”

Following the investigation, an arrest warrant was obtained Grant.
