FC Dallas enters its first match with Peter Luccin as interim head coach. The club parted ways with Nico Estevez after the 1-1 draw against Minnesota United FC.
FRISCO, Texas — FC Dallas returns home for the first time in four matches after spending the latter part of May on the road.
Saturday’s match against St. Louis CITY SC will be the head coaching debut of Peter Luccin after the club parted ways with Nico Estevez. Estevez leaves the club with a 28-27-29 MLS regular season record as head coach, including a 3-8-5 record in 2024.
Luccin originally joined FC Dallas in 2013 towards the end of his playing career (which included previous stops at Marseille, PSG and Atlético Madrid). He has been with the club for a total of 11 years.
The coaching change happened after FC Dallas tied 1-1 on the road against Minnesota United FC.
Luccin was introduced as the interim head coach days later and spoke about Saturday’s match with the media on Thursday.
