AUSTIN (KXAN) — Protesters against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement deportations gathered at the Texas Capitol on Saturday afternoon, according to a social media post from the organizers.
“It is our duty, now more than ever, to stand up to Trump and his administration as they unfurl ICE and other federal police agencies against members of our families and communities,” the social media post said.
This comes just two weeks after a similar protest was held at the Texas Capitol after ICE operations took place in Austin. According to the Trump administration, ICE has increased its daily arrests since.
