AUSTIN (KXAN)– The fall season has reached Central Texas, and there are already plenty of free fall activities available throughout the area.
Exactly a week ago, Central Texas officially entered its fall ‘era.’
Around this time of year, fun fall activities begin to open up across the city of Austin and surrounding areas. But, how many of these activities are free of cost and welcome the entire family?
The following is a round-up of some fall fun events available to the community for free.
Sweet Berry Farm
‘Harvest of Fall Fun‘ has begun at the Marble Falls, Texas, farm and will continue till Nov. 3. The farm does not charge an entry or parking fee, activities and fruit picking do require a low cost.
Music on Main
Round Rock’s free fall concert series happens every Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Located at Downtown Round Rock expect to find live music and fun till Nov. 13.
Pumpkin Patch
First United Methodist Church’s free pumpkin patch in Taylor, Texas, begins Oct. 5 and runs until Halloween. There will also be a ‘Fall Festival’ held on Oct. 27 from 3-5 p.m.
Pumpkin Hunt
The Evergreen Farm’s annual hunt is open through the last three weekends of Oct. Featuring free entry and parking and, offering other activities at a low cost.
Moonlight Movie Night
Round Rock’s free community movie night on Oct. 18 will feature a Halloween classic film. At this family event Disney’s Halloween classis Hocus Pocus will be on the screen from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Fall Fun Fest
Round Rock’s Parks and Recreation’s fall fun event will happen on Halloween day Oct 31. from 9 to 11 a.m. at Old Settlers Park. This celebration is for preschoolers and toddlers. All attendees are encouraged to wear their best Halloween costume.
Día De Los Muertos
Presented by Siete Family Foods, this free event will feature a night full of culture behind ‘the Day of the Dead.’ On Nov. 1 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Waterloo Park enjoy a free celebration with the entire family.
Viva La Vida 2024
The 41st annual festival held by the Mexi Art Museum and City of Austin will take place Oct. 26 from noon to 6 p.m. Dive into the culture and participate in hands-on activities for free at Fourth Street and Congress Avenue.
