While the Southeastern Conference is well known for its athletics, dominating in football, baseball, and basketball year after year, the SEC is also known for upholding excellent academic standards and affordable education outside a select few of the 16 programs that make up the conference.
National rankings are important, but to gauge just how much a school can offer any student looking to embark on a rich career of their choosing, examining the global rankings for every university will provide an unmatched value structure.
Ahead of the 2024 academic fall semester, US News updated its global rankings. All but one SEC school is included in the rankings, which shows just how popular the conference remains among the global population. According to US News, more than 100 countries using 13 indicators are ranked, providing every student with a better tool to further broaden their education horizons outside of their domestic borders.
While some of the SEC global rankings may surprise some, just remember that even some state schools are ranked higher than several Ivy League institutions. With that, here are the SEC school rankings based on US News’s global score.
Note: The Unversity of South Carolina was not included in the Global rankings.
