SAN ANTONIO – Several popular products are being recalled this month due to safety hazards, including fire and electric shock risks.
Here are the recalls you need to know about:
Vornado VH2 whole room heaters
Vornado Air has recalled nearly 8,000 VH2 whole room heaters due to electric shock and fire hazards. The issue involves the power cord, which can detach from the heater’s enclosure and become damaged over time.
The affected units were sold exclusively on Amazon for about $90 between August and October 2024. Only heaters with a date code from July or August 2024 are included in the recall.
If you have one of these heaters, stop using it immediately and contact Vornado for a free replacement.
Samurai mini smoke alarms
Approximately 328,000 Samurai mini smoke alarms are being recalled after reports that the devices may fail to activate in the presence of smoke, posing a risk of smoke inhalation or death.
The alarms were sold exclusively on HSN from July 2020 through November 2024, priced between $40 and $50. There have been eight reports of the alarms failing to alert users to a fire, though no injuries have been reported.
Consumers should stop using the alarms immediately and contact Three61, the manufacturer, for a free replacement and instructions on properly disposing of the product.
Lexmark specialty printers
Lexmark is recalling two models of specialty printers due to a defect that could cause a metal part inside the printer to dislodge and overheat, creating a fire hazard.
About 44,000 of the affected printers were sold online from June 2018 to November 2024. The company has received two reports of printers overheating, including one fire.
If you own one of these printers, stop using it immediately and contact Lexmark for a free repair part.
