More than 250,000 people visited the Waco museum in 2024, bringing the lifetime total to more than 3 million since its opening in 1991.
WACO, Texas — The Dr Pepper Museum in Waco, Texas, announced it had a record-breaking attendance in 2024.
According to museum officials, they welcomed 256,796 paid visitors, an 18% increase from 2023 and a 49% jump from 2022. In 2024, the museum also surpassed 3 million visitors since opening in 1991, which was celebrated with a special 10-2-4 Day event on Oct. 24, 2024.
“This incredible achievement highlights the Dr Pepper Museum’s vital role in Waco’s tourism industry,” said Hanna Andersen, Administrative Officer with the City of Waco’s Department of Economic Development and Tourism (Waco CVB).
The museum also introduced a new exhibit, Wilton’s Landing, celebrating the evolution of convenience stores and Dr Pepper’s growth.
The steady rise in attendance highlights the museum’s commitment to celebrating the legacy of Dr Pepper.
“This year has been a testament to the power of storytelling, community engagement, and the enduring love for Dr Pepper,” said Chris Dyer, President & CEO. “We are honored to reach 3 million lifetime visitors and share the story of Dr Pepper and the soft drink industry with guests from around the globe.”
