FORECAST
š”RECORD COLD TONIGHT/EARLY THURSDAYš”
The coldest night of the year is on the way with a low of 22Ā° expected in San Antonio by sunrise tomorrow morning, but outside of the city, especially across the Hill Country, teens are likely. The record low for Thursday in San Antonio is 26Ā°, set during the ābig freezeā of 2021, but thatās likely to fall.
š§„COLD UNTIL SUNDAYš§„
Bottom line, plan for jacket weather all day, every day until Sunday. Until then, most mornings will be below freezing, and afternoons will range from the mid 30s to lower 40s. Conditions change by Sunday afternoon when temperatures should climb into the mid 60s with sunshine, then next week weāre expecting upper 70s.
āRAIN & WINTRY MIX CHANCES FRIDAY INTO SATURDAYā
Increasing moisture and a few other factors will lead to thick clouds Friday and Saturday, and a few sprinkles are possible especially Friday night into Saturday morning. Temperatures could be cold enough for a few sleet/ice pellets on Friday, but it would *not* get in the way of travel or typical daily activities – more of a āgee whizā factor. By Saturday morning, a light glaze of ice is possible on some elevated surfaces such as street signs, parked cars, decks, etc., but travel disruptions are unlikely at this time. Overall precipitation is expected to be very light with minimal accumulations, but check back for updates as the weekend nears.
āBIG WARM-UP NEXT WEEKā
In true Texas form, weāll be near 80Ā° by Tuesday!
