Record warmth but a cold front remains in sight

FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS

  • RECORD HEAT: Record high of 84° Today
  • UNSEASONABLY WARM: Into the weekend
  • COLD FRONT: Slowly arrives Sunday into Monday

FORECAST

WARM

Today was a record breaking day, and although it’ll be just as warm the next few days, we’ll probably be a few degrees shy of record territory. The pending cold front is expected to slowly move through our area Sunday into Monday with the possibility of it stalling nearby. In turn, know that temperature forecasts could change day to day, but as of now, Sunday looks like the transition day leading to cooler temperatures by Monday.

RAIN

A few light showers are possible Monday through Thursday, but it looks like the vast majority of rain will be in East Texas and closer to Dallas. Our latest thinking is maybe a tenths of an inch or so over the next seven days, so not what we’re looking for. More than anything, expect a gray cloudy stretch of days most of next week.
