Report: Cowboys’ Micah Parsons will play against the Eagles after missing four games

While Parsons is set to return, the Cowboys will still be without a couple of major pieces.

DALLAS — Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons will play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday after missing the last four games, according to ESPN’s Todd Archer.

According to Archer, the Cowboys’ star defender was able to get through Saturday’s practice without any issues.

Parsons suffered a high left ankle sprain in a Thursday night game against the New York Giants back in September. The Cowboys came away with a win that week, but they suffered major losses due to injuries, including DL DeMarcus Lawrence, who was placed on injured reserve at the beginning of October.

With Parsons returning, the Cowboys will get a much-needed piece back. However, the injury woes for Dallas go far beyond the defensive side of the ball.

On Saturday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that QB Dak Prescott is planning to undergo season-ending surgery to repair a partially torn hamstring pending one final specialist’s opinion. A true sign of the times for the Cowboys.

Dallas takes on Philly on Sunday at 3:25 p.m.
