Residents displaced after fire at apartment complex, SAFD says

SAN ANTONIO – Multiple residents are without a home after a fire at an apartment complex, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.

The fire started around 11 p.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of Gardina Street, near Vance Jackson Road.

Upon arrival, officials noticed flames on the roof of one of the buildings. They immediately called for a second alarm.

Officials took a defensive approach due to the winds and the fire conditions, SAFD said.

According to SAFD, another building at the apartment complex also caught on fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.

The displaced residents are being assisted in finding shelter since the flames affected multiple apartment units.
