Reunion Tower’s New Year’s Eve celebration to feature drones, ‘never-before-seen’ pyrotechnic effect

 

The display will feature 5,000 pyrotechnic special effects and a drone show, Reunion Tower said.

DALLAS — Reunion Tower will help Dallas ring in the new year with a large celebratory display featuring drones and pyrotechnic effects. 

This year will mark the ninth installment of the Lone Star NYE celebration, according to a press release from Reunion Tower. The display, a gift from Hunt Realty Investments, will begin at precisely 11:59 p.m. Dec 31, the release states. 

The celebration will be “bigger and better” than ever, the release states, featuring 5,000 pyrotechnic special effects, an LED light display and 500 drones. 

“This year’s show combines innovative technology and artistry to create a spectacular display,” Dusti Groskreutz, President of Reunion Tower said. “It’s our privilege to help make this celebration a cherished tradition for families across the city and beyond.”

DFW’s Sky Elements, which boasts several Guinness World Record titles for their drone displays, will be a part of the show, the release states. Drones will fly independently above the Dallas skyline for the performance, the release states. 

Pyrotechnic effects will be provided by Pyrotecnico, which will create “waves” and “chases” wrapping around Reunion Tower, the release states. This year’s show will also feature a new “never-before-seen” pyrotechnic effect, the release states. 

Reunion Tower’s Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube channels will livestream the event, the release states. The Spot (98.7 FM) will simulcast the display.

You can get an unforgettable view of the fireworks by preserving one of two dinner seating options at the Crown Block at Reunion Tower, the release states. The dinner will feature special menus, sparkling cocktails and live DJ entertainment, the release states.
