Sources say the suspect fired shots at police. Dallas police have confirmed the suspect is dead.
RICHARDSON, Texas — A man suspected of murder engaged in a car chase with police on Monday and is now dead after reportedly firing shots at officers, police sources told WFAA.
According to sources, the suspect was wanted out of Kaufman County. While the suspect reportedly fired at officers, it is unclear at this time if any officers returned fire.
The Dallas Police Department confirmed the suspect is now dead.
The car is currently stopped at US Highway 75 and Esperanza Road, sources say.
DPD has confirmed they are assisting Richardson police in the incident.
