Sabinal ISD employee detained, accused of criminal offenses involving a minor, district says

  

UVALDE COUNTY, Texas – A Sabinal Independent School District employee was taken into custody and is accused of unspecified crimes involving a minor, the district announced Friday on social media.

Coach Kenny Mulkey was removed from the campus and has been placed on administrative leave due to the investigation, according to The Uvalde Leader-News.

The district, located approximately 27 miles northeast of Uvalde, said there is no information to indicate that a Sabinal ISD student was the subject of the alleged misconduct.

Sabinal ISD said it is working with law enforcement in its investigation.

KSAT has reached out to the Sabinal Police Department and Sabinal ISD for a comment and is awaiting their response.
