Sally Beauty to move HQ to Plano

The company said the move will shift 600 employees to Plano and that it plans to relocate by the end of the year.

PLANO, Texas — Sally Beauty Holdings Inc. is moving its global headquarters and hundreds of employees to Plano from Denton as the company downsizes its real estate portfolio in the face of financial headwinds.

After more than 40 years in Denton, the Fortune 1000 retailer of beauty products, will lease about 140,000 square feet of office space in Legacy West inside Liberty Mutual’s building at 7900 Windrose Ave., according to a March 5 announcement.

The company said the move will shift 600 employees to Plano and that it plans to relocate by the end of the year. Sally Beauty CEO Denise Paulonis described the move as one aligning with the company’s goals and values.

“The modern and collaborative space provides the right size and structure for our team, while being aligned with our fuel for growth principles,” Paulonis said in a statement. “With this move, we will create our workplace of the future, offering a hub of culture and community that will drive enhanced collaboration and innovation and support Sally Beauty Holdings’ ongoing recruitment and talent retention efforts.”

CBRE’s John Roper and Travis Sapaugh represented Sally Beauty in the Plano lease. Matt Schendle, Carrie Halbrooks, Travis Boothe and Mary Frances Burnette with Cushman & Wakefield represented building owner Liberty Mutual.
