SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Firefighter Albert Pedroza has reported for duty for the first time since a double lung transplant.
The San Antonio Fire Department shared photos of Pedroza on social media showing him recovering from surgery and smiling upon his return Thursday.
“We are thrilled to report Albert reported back to duty at SAFD today,” SAFD officials said in a tweet. “Thank you all for the prayers and support.”
SAFD officials initially asked for prayers for “Brother Albert” back in February.
