SAPD: Victim uncooperative after being found shot in shoulder

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are trying to figure out how and why a woman was shot near downtown early Monday morning.

Officers were called around 3 a.m. to East Martin Street, not far from South Taylor Street after receiving word of a person wounded.

According to police, officers arrived to find the woman with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

Police said the victim was not very cooperative, so they don’t have much to go on.

The woman was taken by ambulance to Brooke Army Medical Center and her condition is not currently known.

The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS all answered the call.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
