Several North Texas high school football games rescheduled ahead of anticipated inclement weather

North Texas could see significant rain Friday evening.

DALLAS — The regular season is wrapping up a day early for a few North Texas high school football teams as inclement weather is anticipated Friday evening.

One of the games that was rescheduled was Highland Park vs. Midlothian. This game was supposed to be broadcast on WFAA’s Friday Night Football but because it moved up to Thursday, WFAA will now broadcast Forney vs. Rockwall-Heath on Friday night.

Our WFAA meteorologists said Friday will start with scattered thunderstorms, especially in the northwest region of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This will be followed by a round of showers and storms moving west to east across North Texas sometime Friday evening.

Stay up to date with which games are being rescheduled.
