Spring-like warmth continues for now, but changes arrive this weekend

FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS

  • SPRING-LIKE WARMTH: Highs nearly 20 degrees above average
  • HUMIDITY: Noticeable with daily morning fog and mist
  • NEXT FRONT: Arrives on Sunday, bringing a significant cool-down

FORECAST

HOW LONG WILL THIS WARMTH LAST?

The short answer: until the cold front arrives Sunday. It’ll be rinse and repeat, with unseasonably warm and foggy mornings in the 60s, then afternoons as warm as the mid 80s. As for the humidity, it stays put until the cold front arrives.

NEXT COLD FRONT

We’re still looking at a Sunday morning arrival with temperatures dropping throughout the day, so plan for it to be cooler in the afternoon opposed to the morning. We could potentially be looking at 30° drop in afternoon temperatures from Saturday to Super Bowl Sunday.

With the front arriving Sunday morning, the day will start off mild and muggy, but likely end up rather cool (mid-50s). Additionally, gusty north winds will make it feel more like February again.

ANY RAIN?

There could be some light rainfall as the front pushes through Sunday, but don’t expect much. Monday and Tuesday hold a little more promise for rain, but more than anything it’ll be a cloudy and grey stretch of days with the cooler temperatures.
