Democratic candidate for governor of Georgia Stacey Abrams asserts that fetal heartbeats heard at six weeks are “manufactured sound” intended to give males control over women’s bodies. Abrams is challenging Brian Kemp in the race for governor. According to a Marist survey, only 16 percent of Georgia voters consider abortion to be the most crucial issue in this election.
Abrams stated, “There is no such thing as a heartbeat at six weeks. It is a manufactured sound designed to convince people that men have the right to take control of a woman’s body.”
