Mayoral candidate Clayton Perry sent KSAT the following statement:

“First, prayers for a speedy recovery for the seven officers involved in the Stone Oak shooting. A police officer puts their life on the line every time they put on the uniform, and we were incredibly fortunate this resulted in non-life threatening injuries. We must also keep the families of these officers in our prayers as they struggle with the aftermath of this difficult and traumatic day.

“We must remember that Public Safety is job one at City Hall. Our residents demand a safe community, and our police officers need every tool and training possible to stop crime and get home safely. I stand with SAPD and the families that hold the line when they leave to do their jobs!”

John Cornyn, U.S. Senator (R-Texas)

The Texas Senator took to X to send his prayers for the wounded officers.
