California GOP Senate candidate and former Dodger baseball great Steve Garvey blasted his opponent, the ethically challenged Dem Rep. Adam Schiff, for turning on President Biden just a short time after lauding his leadership abilities and cognitive skills. Schiff saw that Biden’s struggles since the debate disaster were damaging for his own prospects, so he did what any shameless opportunist would—he jumped ship Wednesday and called on Biden to abandon his campaign.

Garvey laid into him:
“Adam Schiff’s recent act of selfish desperation to abandon his presidential nominee has caused a clear reaction from his supporters on his social media,” Garvey, the Republican candidate vying to fill the late Dianne Feinstein’s seat, told Fox News Digital. “It’s now clear to his supporters what has been clear to millions of Americans for years, that Adam Schiff only cares about Adam Schiff, and Californians deserve a senator that puts them above politics.”
“Adam Schiff only cares about Adam Schiff.” I’d have to say that wasn’t a routine single—that was a home run.
In less than a year, we have surpassed Adam’s 28-year political machine and we’re not stopping our momentum until we win in November.

Schiff, not surprisingly, didn’t call on Biden’s withdrawal based on principle or what’s the best thing for the country, no, the serpentine representative from Burbank just cared about fundraising.

“It’s understandable that they felt they had to take dramatic action when this news came out,” he [Garvey] added. “When Adam Schiff announced that he believes President Biden shouldn’t seek re-election, it dominated the news cycle for the day, helping in part to bury our fundraising success story.”
Between April 1 and June 30, Garvey reportedly raised $5.4 million to Schiff’s $4.1 million.
Schiff until very recently had been trying to gaslight the American public about Biden’s cognitive health and shamed anyone who thought the president was compromised, so his about-face here is hard to give any credence to.
The Big Lie about Biden’s mental fitness was crumbling then, but its desperate defenders were still manning the ramparts. Not anymore.
Garvey asked perhaps the most important question going forward: If all these Democrats are calling on Biden to quit his campaign because he’s compromised, how in the heck can he continue to run the country?

Garvey faces a tough hill trying to defeat Schiff, who inexplicably has fans here in the Golden State despite his record of duplicity. But as Jim Carrey famously said in “Dumb and Dumber,” “So you’re telling me there’s a chance?!”
Right now, with the insane political reality in California, a chance is all we’ve got. Garvey’s fundraising numbers are a positive sign, and he’s exactly right about Schiff here. If he keeps exposing Schiff for the charlatan that he is, perhaps his prospects will improve even more.
