Taste Addison reveals headliners for its 30th anniversary festival

Taste Addison celebrates its 30th anniversary with acts like Silversun Pickups and Hoobastank from April 25-27.

ADDISON, Texas — Taste Addison is bringing big-name musical acts and local talent to North Texas for its 30th anniversary festival.

From April 25 to 27, attendees can enjoy performances by Silversun Pickups, Hoobastank, and Wade Bowen alongside a diverse lineup of musicians spread across seven performance areas, which includes the WFAA Main Stage, at Addison Circle Park.

On Friday, the festival will be headlined by Silversun Pickups on the WFAA Main Stage at 10 p.m. This Southern California band is known for their “atmospheric sound and emotive live performances,” Taste Addison said in a news release.

Next up on Saturday night, Hoobastank will take the stage — also at 10 p.m. The California-based rock band is best known for hits such as “The Reason,” “Crawling in the Dark,” “Running Away,” and “Remember Me.” Their 2004 ballad “The Reason” achieved 4x platinum status and has amassed nearly 4 billion streams.

Then, on Sunday evening, Wade Bowen will close out the WFAA Main Stage at 4:30 p.m. The Texas native and Red Raider alum is known for his Red Dirt country sound and hits like “Songs About Trucks” and “When I Woke Up Today,” which showcase his soulful lyrics. His latest single, “Friday Night,” features Dallas Cowboys legend Troy Aikman in the music video.

The festival’s 12-acre park will feature six additional performance areas, each offering a unique experience.

At the WorldBeats Stage, attendees can enjoy live performances by international musicians, including Los Gran Reyes and The All Around Czechs, while the WorldBeats Dance Floor will showcase artists from more than 10 countries. Meanwhile, the Corkyard and Speakeasy will offer a laid-back vibe with jazz and blues.

For family-friendly fun, the Blue Dot Spot will host DFW talent, including jugglers, puppet artists, fire dancers, and magicians. Blackbox 30 inside the Addison Performing Arts Centre will combine live jazz from the Kindred Jazz Band with breathtaking performances by silk aerialists.
