Teen killed in southern Dallas shooting, police say

 

An 18-year-old was killed in a shooting Sunday, Dallas police said.

DALLAS — A teen was killed in a shooting in southern Dallas Sunday, police said in a press release. 

Officers responded to a shooting call around 1:23 p.m. Jan 26 in the 3600 block of Moonstone Drive, police say.

Police found that a man had been shot and the victim was taken to a hospital in a private vehicle, the release states. The victim was later identified as 18-year-old James Rust, the release states. 

No information was provided about a possible suspect.

The incident is under investigation, police said.
