Texas A&M volleyball team picked seventh in the Southeastern Conference preseason poll

   

The Texas A&M volleyball team checked into the Southeastern Conference’s preseason poll at No.7 as announced by the league on Wednesday.

A&M is coming off a 16-13 campaign in 2023 and the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2019.

Texas, the two-time national champion, tops the league’s poll and took 14 of the 15 first-place votes, with Florida in second grabbing the lone non-Longhorn vote. Kentucky followed at three, with Georgia, Tennessee and Missouri rounding out the top six.

Behind A&M in the poll is Arkansas, LSU, Auburn, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Mississippi State and Alabama.

The Aggies open their season on Aug. 30 on the road against South Alabama.

Carson Beck and Quinn Ewers return to their schools while Dillon Gabriel transfers to Oregon, rounding out top three favorites for the 2024 Heisman Trophy.
