AUSTIN (KXAN)— Several Texas companies are going all-in on giveaways this year to celebrate anniversaries.
H-E-B’s 120th anniversary
The Texas grocery chain is holding its “Big Thanks Texas Giveaway,” where customers can win a year of free groceries as they celebrate 120 years of business.
Customers can enter the giveaway once per day at checkout using their “My H-E-B” app or the phone number connected to their account. They can also enter through the mail. A purchase is not required for entry.
For 120 days, from Feb. 10 through June 9, a random customer entered in the giveaway is selected as the day’s winner.
Thomas J. Henry’s $1M giveaway
Attorney Thomas J. Henry chose to celebrate his 63rd birthday by giving gifts to others, with a $1 million giveaway over the course of 2025.
Every week, five people who enter the giveaway get $5,000 each. In December, two lucky winners will instead get $100,000. The giveaway officially started on April 7 and is open to anyone in the state of Texas.
Whataburger’s 75th anniversary
Whataburger is offering customers a chance to win 75,000 in rewards points to commemorate the restaurant’s 75th anniversary.
Every online order through the Whataburger app or through the Whataburger website from April 9 through April 30 counts as an entry. A random winner is selected each month through August, Whataburger’s official birthday month.
Customers can use rewards points to redeem items when ordering online or in-store.
