AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man was injured Wednesday following a shooting involving law enforcement officials in Milam County.
According to the Milam County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), deputies helped respond to a shots fired call in Cameron shortly before noon in the 1500 block of Jackson Avenue.
MCSO said a man was shot in the hand by a Cameron Police officer who fired his weapon at the subject and struck him. It is unclear what led to the shooting.
“Our deputies have secured the scene and requested Texas Rangers to investigate the matter,” MCSO said.
