AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Texas State University Police Department is investigating an alleged assault the agency said happened on the San Marcos campus on Tuesday, UPD said on social media. A suspect was also arrested.
UPD said when the alleged assault happened Tuesday that a “timely warning was issued” to the campus community. The agency said it increased patrols after the alleged assault was reported.
On Wednesday morning, UPD officers found the suspect on the campus, according to the agency. The suspect was then taken to the county jail.
The incident remained under investigation Wednesday.
