Gillespie County, TX – June 1, 2024 – The Texas Wine Auction celebrated its third successful year, raising an incredible $218,470 at its recent event held at the beautiful Carter Creek Winery Resort & Spa in Johnson City, TX. This record-breaking amount will directly benefit the Texas Hill Country community through impactful programs focused on health, sustainability, and economic prosperity.
The evening was a charming blend of both Texas wine and philanthropy. Guests enjoyed a warm welcome reception, a lively silent auction, and a delicious family-style meal prepared by regional, top chefs. Live music by the Texas Moaners set the mood for an exciting live auction filled with exceptional wines, unique experiences, and generous bids.
“We are overwhelmed by the incredible support we received this year,” said Valerie Elkins, Board of Directors of the Texas Wine Auction. “These funds will allow us to continue to make a significant difference in the lives of those who make the Texas Hill Country such a special place.”
The Impact of Giving
The Texas Wine Auction is dedicated to supporting the vibrant community of the Texas Hill Country. Since its inception in 2021,the organization has issued a total of $127,960.00 in grants. Funds raised this year will be used to develop new programs focused on three key pillars:
- People: Prioritizing continued development of programs that support the health and wellness of vineyard and hospitality workers.
- Planet: Protecting natural resources through student-led research on sustainable farming practices.
- Prosperity: Promoting job and economic growth through mentorship on financial and cultural sustainability.
